The story of Seekins Precision began in 2004, when Glen Seekins, frustrated by the failure of standard scope rings during a hunting trip in Idaho, decided to engineer a better solution. Drawing on his background in mechanical design, Glen created the first SP Scope Rings, which quickly gained popularity among local shooters for their durability and lightweight construction. Working nights in his garage, Glen taught himself CNC machining and gradually expanded his product line. By 2005, demand had grown enough for Glen to leave his day job and focus on Seekins Precision full-time. The company soon outgrew its garage origins, moving into larger facilities and expanding its offerings to include billet AR lowers and, eventually, complete AR platforms and the acclaimed Havak bolt-action rifles. Seekins Precision’s growth has been marked by a commitment to in-house manufacturing—producing 98% of firearm components under one roof—which ensures quality control and innovation. Major milestones include the launch of the Havak series, expansion to a 100,000-square-foot facility, and earning a reputation for excellence among hunters, law enforcement, and military professionals.
